We are making so many changes in how we do things, that we're going to
have to split things up. This is the first of two or three parts to
update you on changes, products, policies, etc, so hold on to your
hat. You'll like all the changes we've implemented.
Big Change In Reprint Policies For http://Work911.com
We have liberalized our reprint policies. In the past we've not
allowed people to make copies of our articles, and we've had a pay-for-
use policy in effect. It's all changed.
First what you can't do. We still cannot allow any of our articles to
appear on websites, or any place public on the Internet. There's a
good reason for that. Search engines have trouble figuring out which
"copy" of an article online is the original one, and that means that
if you were to use our material online, you might make it impossible
for us to attract visitors to our sites. And that means, we'd have to
close them all down. We have to eat too.
But the good news is you can print them, use them in seminars, forward
copies to colleagues and friends IN EMAIL. The only exception is for
commercial publications that charge for subscriptions or accept
advertising. So if you run BusinessWeek, sorry, but you have to pay
us.
One of the reasons writers write is they feel compelled to do so, and
that applies to me. However, most writers WANT people to read what
they produce, and that's one of the major reasons we've made it easier
to share our material.
As always, you CAN link to our articles, and you can use short
summaries along with the link.
All we ask is that if you do share (remember, NOT on the web in public
places, give us credit.

. Easy to remember. We have to update the article database and get rid
of bad links, so be patient. There's tons of great stuff on ALL

give YOUR ideas and input. Please use it. The more we get intelligent
comments, the more we'll be motivated to add new material at NO cost
to visitors.

I've probably written over 300 articles for our sites, but they've
been scatter around on various sites, and to be honest, the whole
thing has gotten so hard to manage that I've decided to centralize
things. It will make it easier for readers and for us.

On A Serious Note - Particularly For Small Business, Bloggers, and

You may have heard that Google has made some radical changes in how
they rank pages when you search. The changes they instituted are
called the Panda updates, and while their intent is probably good,
it's had some drastic effects on businesses. Reports are still coming
in from companies that have had their web visits drop by 60%-90%, and

and some have had to close down or file for bankruptcy.
