Pato Breaker, Bukan Goalgetter
Salah satu striker asing yang sedang didekati oleh kubu Arema adalah striker asal Chile, Patricio Morales Gaete. Pemain yang akrab disapa Pato tersebut merupakan mantan pemain Arema yang menjadi idola publik Aremania pada Liga Indonesia XIII musim lalu. Di akhir musim, Pato menolak perpanjangan kontrak dengan alasan keluarga dan kembali ke Chile. Menjelang putaran kedua Indonesia Super League (ISL) 2008/09 ini, nama Pato kembali hangat dikabarkan akan kembali ke Malang, konon proses kepindahan Pato ke Arema sudah mencapai 85%.
Pelatih Arema Gusnul Yakin mengaku Pato sebenarnya bukan merupakan salah satu striker yang dia rekomendasikan untuk direkrut. Mantan pelatih Persiter Ternate tersebut menginginkan striker dengan tipikal goalgetter atau finisher, seperti yang dimiliki oleh mantan striker Arema di putaran pertama yang diskorsing Komdis PSSI, Emile Bertrand Mbamba. Menurut Gusnul Yakin, Pato bertipe hampir sama dengan Emaleu Serge yaitu striker dengan tipikal breaker atau pekerja keras. Gusnul Yakin semdiri mengaku belum pernah melihat kualitas dan permainan Pato, namun dirinya mendapat banyak informasi mengenai Pato dari asisten pelatih Arema, Joko Susilo.
“Kalau kita tidak bisa mendapatkan goalgetter, kita cari pemain yang bisa menjadi penyeimbang dan menyumbangkan kontribusi bagi tim. Ada beberapa tim yang tidak memiliki goalgetter tetapi semua pemain mau bekerja keras dan bisa mencetak gol. Tidak ada goalgetter pun pada prinsipnya tidak masalah asalkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan tim,” jelas Gusnul.
Pato tidak perlu mengikuti seleksi untuk bergabung dengan Arema karena baik manajemen, asisten pelatih, hingga suporter sudah mengetahui kualitas Pato. “Meskipun saya belum pernah melihat langsung kemampuan Pato, tetapi saya mendapat masukan dari Joko (Susilo). Manjemen dan suporter (Aremania) juga sudah mengetahui kualitas Pato, sehingga tampaknya Pato tidak perlu mengikuti seleksi,” jelas Gusnul.
Meski Pato bukan pemain rekomendasinya, Gusnul tidak mempermasalahkan negosiasi antara manajemen Arema dengan Pato. Bahkan apabila proses negosiasi berjalan lancar, Gusnul mengharapkan Pato bisa segera bergabung latihan bersama Suroso dkk sebagai persiapan menghadapi putaran kedua ISL 2008/09. Hingga saat ini belum diketahui dengan pasti kapan Pato akan datang ke Malang.
“Saya memang menginginkan seorang goalgetter. Tetapi tidak mudah mencari pemain yang 100% cocok dengan yang saya inginkan. Mencari pemain di jeda kompetisi putaran kedua ini tidak semudah dibayangkan orang. Kita bisa dengan mudah bilang ambil pemain ini, ambil pemain itu. Tetapi kita mau ambil siapa? Belum tentu pemain tersebut sesuai dengan kebutuhan tim. Terlebih pemain rekomendasi saya sebagian besar juga tidak dilepas oleh klubnya,” pungkas Gusnul.

Have You Planned for a High Payoff Trip With Your Business?

So I bought new books and clothes at home. Then I worked to get the weight down. I went through the books and stripped out what I didn't want to carry on this particular trip. The pages I didn't need I put in my trip files. And as I traveled I kept tossing the ones I had with me, saving only unique pages like the addresses of the gourmet desert shops in Barcelona so I could give it to others who'd be interested.
Along the way I shipped home a box with nearly 12 pounds of paper - postcards, museum books, maps from the first half of my trip. I wanted them, but I wouldn't be using them and so I sure didn't need to be carrying them the following 3 weeks!

There may be courses to take, staff to hire, or systems to install. Needing them doesn't mean you'll install them all immediately. However, putting them on your action plan will ensure that your keep them in your attention and follow through in picking them up.
5 - Give it a test
As you prepare for the next step in your business journey, pack your bags with the knowledge, experience, and expertise you've got on hand and the new ones too. Take it all for a test drive! Take it on a trip! Apply it to a new project and TEST it.
I wish I could have tested my luggage before leaving town. The true test came on the road. I carried three different skirts that each were worn only once in six weeks. I could have sent them home in week two and relieved my mind and muscles from taking care of them... and had room to buy a new jacket to use on the journey and bring home to keep wearing.
Most entrepreneurs start with a passion and a vision and a fierce commitment to their idea. From that starting point, their results are built upon their gathering the resources they need as they proceed. That includes not only money and technical resources, but also relationships and 'know how' as well. They need to constantly assess what really is needed, right here and right now, in order to move their business forward.

I was reminded of that as I prepared for a six-week trip, with visits planned in more than 18 cities. I had to figure out what information I wanted to know ahead of time and what I could pick up along the way. The same went for clothing, supplies, and contact information.
I knew I'd be carrying my luggage through airports, train stations, ports, and metros. I hoped to not waste my time in each city looking for the tour books I'd want to refer to along the way. And there were clothes I'd need for the climate I was visiting that I don't normally wear at home. Even so, I needed to keep expenses down and the exchange rates would make it more costly to buy what I needed overseas.
So I bought new books and clothes at home. Then I worked to get the weight down. I went through the books and stripped out what I didn't want to carry on this particular trip. The pages I didn't need I put in my trip files. And as I traveled I kept tossing the ones I had with me, saving only unique pages like the addresses of the gourmet desert shops in Barcelona so I could give it to others who'd be interested.
Along the way I shipped home a box with nearly 12 pounds of paper - postcards, museum books, maps from the first half of my trip. I wanted them, but I wouldn't be using them and so I sure didn't need to be carrying them the following 3 weeks!
So it is with business tools. When you consider what you need for your business, the process is the same:

What skills, tools, resources or 'know how' are needed to guide your business through its next stage? I don't just mean technical knowledge. As you take your organization on its steps of growth, there may be management systems you need to take on to boost your own productivity and to ensure that everyone in your organization is focusing on high payoff activities.

The 'Make Easy Money Online Search' syndrome.
I recently received an email from one of my new subscribers which said 'Please tell me how to make money'.
Straight to the point. I was a bit taken aback. After all he had subscribed to my newsletter which was full of good ideas. If he had been to the website there were some more good ideas.
But no, before he had done any of that he had whipped off an email and got straight into it.
Next, I got a bit angry and thought that he must have been one real lazy guy. Why shouldn't he just get stuck in and do the hard graft like the rest of us.
However, I got to thinking that maybe he was just like the rest of us. When we started out we all wanted to know that exact same thing. In his case he was very upfront and honest about it.
So my next problem was, how could I give him enough information in an email to provide him with a solution. I began by searching for related keywords and found that he wasn't the only person looking for simple answers.
For example the phrase 'make easy money online search' was used by a small but significant number of people each day. In fact there were 26 daily searches using this exact phrase. That amounts to around 800 a month or 9,600 a year.
I decided to call this the 'make easy money online search' syndrome and this article is my attempt to provide a simple answer to that question.
There are many different ways to make money online so I decided to restrict myself to affiliate marketing. I know, it's not that simple but I thought that would be a good start.
Trying to keep this, or any, subject as simple as my email friend wanted was no easy task. But on the presumption that it was a genuine cry for help, I was determined to try.
I have always believed that if you are selling anything, it's a solution. Not a product, not a widget, but a solution. A solution to whatever problems people may have.
Therefore the first step is to find out what problem is high on the list of people searching online. This was an easy one. My friend had come to search for information on how to make money online. The product (solution) needed to be an information product on that very subject. Thousands of people search for this information every day so the presumption is that a good number would be prepared to pay for it.
The next step is to find a really good information product that he could have confidence in. A product that would really deliver and with a price that gave value for money. Here my friend would have to rely on me.
There are thousands of products on offer and I would have to be careful that I got my recommendation right. I decided that it would have to be an information product that came with a solid money back guarantee.
That still left me with several really good products. However, at this stage I was keeping it simple so settling on a product could be left until later.
The third and final step in this simplistic approach to affiliate marketing was causing a problem. Trying to keep the subject of finding traffic simple was not easy. This is a vast subject. There are so many ways of finding traffic. Some had a cost, some were free.
After a great deal of thought I decided that my new friend needed to know (if he hadn't worked it out already) that making money online required effort. Even if he was to use the 'free' methods of generating traffic this would cost him effort. To go into detail about Adwords and other Pay Per Click methods, article marketing, blogging, video and audio, would surely overwhelm him. Well it overwhelmed me when I first started out.
So, I left it there and invited him to get back to me if he wished to take it further. I hope that he didn't feel short changed. And as I await his reply I'm working on how I am going to take this to the next stage.

Improved Search Engine Ranking With Simple SEO Techniques
It is not too difficult to get an improved search engine ranking by using simple SEO techniques. In spite of what you might have read or heard elsewhere, there is no great secret about how you get a high search engine listing. No doubt you have read online about how you must use this system or that, and that if you don't pay over $500 - $1,000 plus then you will fall behind the rest and that your business will fail. Let me tell you a true story, and in my case a grand was peanuts!
I recently signed up for information on a new SEO and online business program that was to make me an internet guru. I should have known better, because about four years ago I did exactly the same thing with what I shall call an Internet Marketing Center. I read online about this mentoring program and how for a low cost I could learn from the expertise of this Internet Marketing Company - it was quite a famous one, well listed on Google. I provided my first name and email address for more information, as you do.
He then asked me for my credit card details: how many cards I had and how much credit I had on each. He then asked for $12,000. Obviously I refused, but he went on at me, and eventually agreed to provide me with a cut down version of the mentoring program for $6,500. Being na? I relented under his sales pressure, and gave him the numbers of my two credit cards. I now had 2 cards up to the hilt on credit.
To cut it short, I was given information available free online, and ended up with an ebook of which I sold 12 copies at $27. No mention of improved search engine ranking methods, or any other ways of getting my website in the top page of the listings. My page wasn't even in the top 100 because I went through the top 10+ pages and not one of my web pages was there. I would have though my $65.00 would have at least earned that information, but no. I decided then that I would teach myself how to get my web pages listed on the first page of Google's search results.
Where this is going is that I recently received another phone call in response to some other form I must have filled in, but can't recall. This guy offered me the earth if I gave him my credit card details. He stared by telling me that if I didn't take his offer we would part as friends. However, when I refused I got nothing but abuse: he ended by telling me I was a failure and deserved to fail because I had refused his great offer.
This was one of the top SEO programs online at the moment, but I can't remember which it was because I was so shocked at this guy's attitude. He said if I failed to make money, then his company would offer me a company credit card to pay of what I owed my own credit card company - yeah. . .
I was a failure till I discovered Adsense arbitrage and some other online money-making tricks, and when he called me that I laughed at him. However, it could have been a traumatic experience for a newbie like I was the time I made my mistake, and I think such sales methods should be outlawed.
You don't need it. You can succeed without these so-called top dogs or internet guru big-heads that abuse you if you don't do as they say and give them your money. All you need to succeed is to have a bit of tenacity and be positive that you will succeed, and some knowledge of how to get your web pages noticed by the search engines. In fact you don't even need the search engines. You can make a lot of money without ever using a search engine, or needing it to list you.
Nevertheless, you can get your website listed on Google if you want, and in a high position for a number of your keywords. All you have to do is to use some simple rules on each of your web pages and to connect them together in the right way. You don't need to pay $12,500 or max out two of your credit card - doing that only adds to the robbery happening on the internet day in and day out by people who lie to you.

Improved Search Engine Ranking and How to Get Listed on Google
If you want to get an improved search engine ranking, and learn how to get listed on Google the easy and quick way, think about SEO. Search engine optimization is how other web pages get listed, and if you can get your URL onto another web page that is itself listed, then you are highly likely to have that URL listed itself.
Of course, getting a quick fast-track listing is not the whole battle. It is only the first foray, and there is still a lot of work to be done, but at least just having a search engine spider visiting your website is a step in the right direction, and one that many websites wait weeks for. It is only through knowing how search engines work, and how they crawl other web pages, that can get you a quick listing.
The thing is, your page might be visited by a robot, but that does not guarantee a listing. To be listed a page has to have a degree of relevance to a specific search term, or keyword. Websites are not just listed in some mythical library index, but individual web pages can be for specific word combinations.
These words are known as keywords, and if a search engine user uses that specific form of words, then the search engine (let's say Google from now on for simplicity) will list each web page that contains these words in an order based upon Google's rating of the relevance of the content of that page to keyword.
There are many factors taken into account in calculating that relevance - over 100 in fact - though nobody but selected Google employees know exactly how many. It is known that the following are included:
Keyword usage: the way you use the keywords on your web page, and how often they appear. If they appear too frequently, your site will be downgraded for keyword abuse, or spamming, and if too infrequently, its relevance will be considered low.
Other vocabulary: the vocabulary on your page will be analyzed by Google's algorithm to determine how it relates to the keyword. The more relevance, then the more relevance the page will be considered to the search term used by the Google customer. Hence, the higher your listing.
Links: Google will calculate how many links are coming into the web page from other web pages, the relevance of these other web pages to the keyword, and also the PageRank of these linking pages. PageRank is a measure of the number of other web pages that link to the page in question.
On-Page Optimization: There e certain aspects of you page formatting that inform robots of the important text on your page. Such HTML tags as the Title tag, H1 Heading tags and other formatting such as bold, underlined and italicized text tell the spider what you consider to be the theme of your page.
These are only four aspects of over 100 that determine your search engine listing position, and nobody knows them all. It takes a combination of experience and analysis to understand as many as possible, and the more you are aware of, the more you can do to get listed on Google, and achieve an improved search engine ranking for your website.

People Who Don't Play Fair in the Sandbox - How to Keep Them From
Throwing Sand at You

You recognize them... Folks at work who spend their time manipulating
circumstances and people to promote their own interest usually at the
expense of someone else. I call them folks who don't play fair in the
Sandbox. Sandbox saboteurs are easily recognized because they thrive
to appear more important, knowledgeable, and necessary then anyone
else. They float from office to office spreading half truths about
others, discrediting their coworkers, and even attacking you in an
effort to promote opportunity and recognition for themselves. Sandbox
bullies don't have any authentic credibility. They are typically not
well liked but their behavior is tolerated and even at times subtly
supported either through silence or participation by the best of us.
They work very hard to destroy the reputation of others to enhance
their own status. Sound like anyone you know?
Unfortunately in the twenty plus years that I was in management, I
have witnessed this behavior more times than I care to think about. In
talking to my professional colleagues over the years apparently my
company was not special. The workplace saboteurs have found their
place in companies across the country.
Sandbox saboteurs are typically folks who seek the limelight they want
attention, recognition, and favorable reviews. Isn't that what we all
want to some extent? However the difference is most of us would not
seek this recognition at the expense of others. Psychologists
attribute their choice of behavior to low self esteem. "I feel better
if you feel worse." In order to be successful at their games saboteurs
need willing participation from others. The key to diffusing this form
of workplace terrorism is not to participate.
So how does an individual keep their career on track and not get
derailed or distracted by the antics of these workplace saboteurs who
haven't found good therapists. Here are some methods that will
artfully diffuse the manipulators and to keep them from throwing
anymore sand at you.
The next time the manipulation begins in the form of a discrediting
remark or gossip refuse to fuel the fire. No matter how tempting it is
to fan the flames. Remember their interests are self centered and mean
spirited they tear others down and then go to others and tear you
down. They are equal opportunity terrorists. One way to discourage
this behavior that works is to turn every comment they make about
someone else into something positive. For example the saboteur may
say: "Well as usual Geri could not complete the project so I had to do
it." A good response for this is "That's great I'm sure she
appreciates it and will do the same for you in the future." Putting a
positive spin on the saboteur's negative comments works to send a
message that you don't choose to engage in negative talk about someone
who is not there to provide a defense.
Another way to diffuse the power of workplace manipulators is "to get
the devil with his own pitchfork." I am not recommending resorting to
their tactics but putting the pressure back on them to stop the
behavior is appropriate. For example the work place saboteur
approaches you and says "I heard that Sabrina is on the company's hit
list, they are getting rid of her it's just a matter of time." Once
they drop the bomb respond with a question. "By telling me how is that
helping her situation?" I assure you they will refocus their energy by
trying to explain, apologize, or quickly excuse themselves because of
embarrassment.
What about statements they make that are derogatory aimed at you or
someone else? I am glad you asked that question. A statement like "I
know you meant that to be helpful," or asking them what value they get
out of making derogatory comments about others would discourage future
comments. A way to pose this would be "I am curious why you feel it's
necessary to share that with me?" "Or what would you like me to do
with that information?" All or these comments will give the saboteur a
polite yet sharp reminder that their game is not appreciated by you
and you don't want to play.
Your unwilling participation in their efforts to promote their own
agenda makes sure the undesirable behavior is short-lived. It does not
stop them from moving on to someone else who is not as savvy and
aware; but it does allow you to keep your distance from negative
influences in a professional manner. The workplace is filled with
professional pitfalls this one easily and wisely avoided
Depending on your style one of these statements may be more acceptable
for you than the other. These tactics have discouraged workplace
manipulators and sand box saboteurs from creating sandstorms in my
life. Although it may take a few times and some subsequent
reinforcement they eventually get the message and leave you out of the
mix because they see you as not playing fair in their sandbox.
